The good or bad of our legal system is that it is largely written during an ancient era with not much modern realities. Though the legal regime is still vital and relevant it still needs to be tuned to modern lines.
One such area is the area of Family law which could be seen as mis-interpreted and more than anything else mis-used. Many different countries have various versions of Family Law; but the need of the hour is that it has to be vetted against the Principles of Natural justice and must not be violative of the concept of Right To Life.
Marriage has an contractual element and could be seen as an agreement between two parties. The state must be a party to this agreement in some form and its involvement must be made more active ,problem starts when there is an issue of incompatibility. The state must have some active role in reducing in-compatibilities. In what way it can be implemented is an issue of law and legal governance.
To my observation the concept of maintenance is mis-used even making judges upset about the matter in many running cases. The moot point is that the concept of providing maintenance cannot be totally one-sided and violative putting a man in peril to meet the demands of maintenance. The concept is that since Marriage is a contract, in no way should any party involved get into the domain of un-just enrichment under the ambit of the law.
Refinement of the legal system with regard to such Contract under the light of many con-current cases in the past -both recent and distant- is an absolute need of the hour as the Fundemantal tenet of RIGHT TO LIFE which forms the basis of all legal regimes is not violated in any form to the disadvantage of some party.

At SATHYA SAI COLLEGE in Whitefeild used to be a tutor by name Mr. Sudarshan who used to be well inclined to me. He used to take keen interest in my affairs. He used to teach English and Physics. He used to maintain discipline in the campus which was his major assignment. I learnt from someone that he lives in NEW HAMPSHIRE in the United States. He has done a Doctorate in Physics from VENKATESHWARA UNIVERSITY later.
I thought it would have been a mistake if I dont record his name somewhere because we shared a professional relationship.
Around August 1984 I moved to C HOSTEL room 327 which was a triple seater room and Binodanand Mishra and M M Shajan were my room mates.One year I stayed in C HOSTEL was the best. This room was in the wing facing the B hostel on one side and even Kattangal was visible from the other. Gautham Hendre used to live in the near opposite room. Prem Wathore also was near -by. C HOSTEL used to be well whitewashed and very clean
In the afternoon of October 31 1984 Saikia came running to my room and said the then Prime Minister Smt. Indhira Gandhi was assasinated.I could not beleive the news and ran to the common room and came to know it was true from the TV news. The common room of C HOSTEL was very spacious and I used be there in the evenings to watch the LUCY SHOW. The TV in the common room was that of KELTRON.
Life in this room used to be very good and largely productive. Since it was in the corner it was very peaceful with less noise.I spent the entire night studying for some exam in this hostel.Singing loudly in this forlorn corridor of C HOSTEL made me some kind of a singer with time.. VENUGOPAL my immediate senior used to live in a room at the end of the corridor and we would land up chatting for some time. Venugopal then went to IISc.I used to get very good and deep sleep in this room and the food in the C Hostel used to be very good.
People who lived in this room at NIT CALICUT must have enjoyed the good fortune I did and enjoyed the silence and warmth of this room and hostel.
BANDE MAHAKALI TEMPLE is a higly popular and visited temple in the city of Bengaluru Bangalore and is a magic of the chieftain of Bangalore under the Vijayanagar kings SHRI. KEMPEGOWDA whose touch of administrative class made many contributions to the city and the basic foundations of the city can be attributed to him.
Water from all these hillocks empty into the Kempemanabudhi lake nearby which feeds the VRUSHABAVATHY RIVER downstream. The name of this lake must have been KEMPANNA BUDHI KERE which has morphed and changed with time. BUDHI is a respectful kannada word for a LAND LORD ....KEMPANNA refers to SHRI KEMPEGOWDA. THIS PLACE IS NOTHING BUT THE CLASS OF KEMPEGOWDA.
This is a highly thronged temple in the city. How to reach this place?This place is GAVIPURAM EXTENSION near Ramakrishna Math in CHAMRAJPET AREA. IT MUST BE THREE KILOMETERS FROM lalbagh metro station. MANY PEOPLE TAKE AUTO FROM THIS METRO STATION AND BACK.This place is also adjacent to Hanumanthanagar and Srinagar and also the BULL TEMPLE and BUGLE ROCK are not far away.
When you enter the temple premises to the left is an entry to the sanctum sanctorum.. If you walk straight on the hill you see the watch tower on the left side and the Kempabudhi kere can be seen ahead. Many rocks on this hillock are being eradicated through modern means to create space for people but the lake is clearly visible from this point and also the horizon of the city with tall structures.
KALARIPAYETTU is an important martial art of Malabar with a history of many many centuries. Warriors of Malabar both men and women used the training they received in the Kalari at various junctures in history largely in the area of Ambush warfares. Kadathunad the modern day VADAKARA was in ancient times a key Kalari hot-spot. These warriors were also used by the VIJAYANAGAR kingdom to secure its borders from intrusion along the Thungabadra river. The Kalari military training schools were shut down by the East India Company.
There is need to revive this domain in the modern day world. Scanning through the net I found an institution in Manantavady which is dedicated to KALARI. The general administration and other Governmental agencies must study how this ancient tradition can be used fully in modernday progress and upkeep.
They say the Chinese martial art forms of Karate and Kung-Fu have their origins in this Martial Art.Atleast the schools like this one must be given support that they might need.
