There is a underpass inaugurated recently at REC NIT CALICUT. It goes under the Mukkam main road.
The road in front of the HOSTEL OFFICE which used to lead to the main road is the location where the underpass has been created. Once you cross the hostel office on this underpass the road bifurcates into two one leading to the International Hostel and the other towards the right to Guest House.
With this underpass the need to cross the main road gets reduced both for Pedestrians and Vehicles within the campus.
