Free Ads and AD-Mag were two publications avaliable in Bangalore some time back where these papers could be purchased through public out-lets and the advertising on this paper was free ; call a specific number and place the ad....I think this was a weekly publication. It is sad this format of publishing has ceased to the detriment of the populace.
A state controlled Free Ad paper system would be a boon to the public. The publication printed by State printing presses with a call-center which will take the ads.
One of the enthralling aspect of this paper was the Jobs Offered and Jobs Wanted column which brought to my notice many such stake-holders together. Such a system must not go defunct but must be re-activated through state assistance.
By putting people to work and at the same time Employers getting the right people along with other entities around which these papers worked will go a long way in strengthening the Economy of the country.
