V K Krishna Menon is often revered in India and the world for his large scale contribution to the strengthening of a fledgling nation post independence and his rapport with Jawaharlal Nehru.. a formidable combination and meeting of minds leading to a very dedicated and honest team work touching various levels of Indian polity and governance. I happened to visit the V K Krishna Menon museum in Calicut.
But I find something startling about this man that from his father's side he appears to be from the family of the Raja of Kadathunad who are from the Nambiar clan and were feudalatories of the Kolathiri. Kadathunad would translate to the modern region around Vadakara. The words Kolathiri and Kadathunad would need more research.
This would point to the possibility of V K Krishna menon having a Nambiar ancestry from his father's side which might need some probing.
